Abstract- An engineering and computer science field that is concerned with the creation of machines capable of working alone or, at
times as partially automated systems to carry out tasks. This means that technological advancement creates new horizons in robotics
systems and is still being materialized in manufacturing, health, agriculture, and other fields. The historical background of robotics,
current applications, industry's challenges, and finally the future will form the basis of this paper.

I. INTRODUCTION

M ankind has been enamored with the fantasy of the robots for ages, as it is portrayed in literary films like Frankenstein and B.
Springsteens, and scientific researches. Until recently, it was only a theory on paper before it turned into practical applications.
The rapid pace at which artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensor technologies, and materials science were developing actually
promoted the development of multipurpose robots for different environments.

Identify the constructs of a Journal – Essentially a journal consists of five major sections. The number of pages may vary depending
upon the topic of research work but generally comprises up to 5 to 7 pages. These are:
1) Abstract
2) Introduction
3) Background
4) Applications of Robotics
5) Challenges and Ethical Issues
6) Conclusions

II. BACKGROUND

IT GOES AS FAR AS THE ANCIENT AUTOMATONS. STILL, SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT BEGAN IN THE MID-20TH CENTURY. IN 1960, THE
FIRST INDUSTRIAL ROBOT WAS RELEASED; IT IS CALLED UNIMATE. NOWADAYS, ROBOTS LOOK INDISPENSABLE IN MANUFACTURING
PROCESS. THE 1980S AND 1990S WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL FOR REASONS OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY AND GROWTH OF SOFTWARE.

2.1 ROBOTICS

1961: UNIMATE, THE FIRST COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL ROBOT, IS INSTALLED ON A GENERAL MOTORS ASSEMBLY LINE.

1980'S: MOST INDUSTRIES AROUND THE WORLD INCREASINGLY USING PROGRAMMABLE ROBOTS.

1996: SHAKEY WAS THE FIRST GENERAL PURPOSE ROBOT MOBILE; IT HAS SUCCESSFULLY DEMONSTRATED AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION.

21ST CENTURY: COBOTS ARE COLLABORATIVE ROBOTS, WHICH INTEROPERATE WITH PEOPLE IN MANY FIELDS.

III. APPLICATION OF ROBOTICS

These things range from nearly every aspect of our lives; however, robotics is most important to all of these applications.

Manufacturing 3.1

Other manufacturing activities of products include assembling, welding, painting, and material handling. They all result in higher
productivity and cost savings. In health sectors, cobots assist humans in doing repetitive or annoying jobs while improving safety.
3.2 Health

Mostly, the robotics in health services falls under surgery assistant, rehabilitation of a patient, and care. Such robots as the da Vinci
Surgical System are applied to improve surgeons' accuracy during surgery. Rehabilitation robots help a patient increase mobility
through computerized exercises.

3.3 Farming

The agri-bots assist in planting and harvesting of the crops and in crop monitoring. Sensors on the drones offer information for soil
and crop conditions, hence enhancing yields production since the resources are optimized by the results of the drone sensors.

3.4. Service Sector

Service robots dominate the hospitality, retail, and personal care industries. The automated vacuum cleaners and delivery robots make
life easier and more convenient for customers.

3.5 Research

The robots come quite handy in researching hostile or inaccessible territories. Take the Mars rover called Perseverance-that collects
samples along with data for laboratory analysis.

IV. CHALLENGES AND ETHICAL ISSUES

Despite all improvements and breakthroughs achieved by now, robotics has still much to work through:

4.1 Technical Challenges

Autonomy: Of great importance, the problem of autonomy is a thorny one for robotics, especially in safety and reliability terms.
Interoperability will need an enabling standardization basis to harmonize different robotic systems with each other.

4.2 Ethical
Robotics also raises questions about privacy, employment, and decision-making. Some of the issues are:
Employment Displacement: Job displacement arises as better advanced robots displace previous jobs and have a severe effect on
economies.
Critical thinking: AI in robots opened up the doors to responsibility and machine ethics, which is fundamental to health care and law.

V. IMPROVEMENT AS PER REVIEWER COMMENTS

Robotics In Front New and advances of robotics promise future generations intelligent, self-correcting learning machines. Soft
robotics develops "muscles" into flexible and adapting robots for delicate applications.

5.1 Combining AI with IoT

The challenging interaction between robots, AI, and IoT will serve to develop smart systems which in real-time will analyze and
decide.

5.2 Human-robot Interaction

Collaboration between people and robots for better capabilities and enhancement of productivity at workplace

5.3 Social Impact Societal impacts of robotics entail discussions on regulation, ethics, and acceptance. The governments have to
initiate the steps for ensuring that the potential benefits of robotics accrue to mankind and risks are minimized.

VI. CONCLUSION
Future growth in robotics will challenge the industry in many ways to address these problems and ethical principles before harming
society in the best way possible. It will highlight how this technical development will bring about the ability to enhance human life
and capabilities for economic growth..
