Introduction Hey, my name is Rob and I'm a graphic

designer and content creator who specializes
in identity design, typographic, special effects
and animation based in Transylvania.

Over the years I've collaborated with estabil-

ished brands such as Yellow Images, Freepik,
Astute, Nuclear Blast Records and Skoda.

I also create educational content on Insta-

gram and YouTube. You can check out my
Tube channel by searching for “Panter Vision”.

I like to call myself a mad scientist when it

comes to branding and design because I’m
always experimenting and exploring the
boundaries of creativity. I also love to play
around with special effects, optical illusions,
and typography.

I would describe my work as modern, bold-

minimalist and distinctive but I also can get
out of my comfort zone to create something
more in the opposite spectrume.

Logo
fundamentals
Most people think a logo is just a quick design that is made of a
simple symbol and some name. Things get a little bit more elabo-
rated then that when you structure it and you check through all
the phases of logo design.
In order to make the right logo design you need to go through a
way longer process. Here are some og the pillars of developing a
good logo design.

Simple

The Reduction
Phase
Reduce the amount of meanings and ideas in a logo design and remain
with just one single idea.

Functional
A logo needs to work on everything because it’s an omnipresent element
of the brand which will need to be printed and seen everywhere.

This is why it needs to be tested on pixel platforms such as websites,

apps, banners etc or on print materials such as emboss, signs, mugs, sta-
tionery, embroydery etc.

Bad vs. Good Examples

Here is a simulation of some of the old logos I made like 10 years ago
when I was a beginner designer. You can see the contrest back then how
many thinks I tried to add on the logo and I managed to redesign it in the
present after 10 years. Now you can see how many things had been
removed and how the logo got simplified.

Distinctive
Distinctive does not mean a unique logo, it means it doesn’t look the same as
the competitiros logo in the same niche. In order to create a successfull logo,
you need to differentiate yourself from the competition and not appeal in the
same way as anybody else.

Appropriate
One of the most important aspect in a great logo is to make it appropraite. It is
about the look and feel of the logo. You need to be cautios what personelity you
give to logo because it needs to be aligned with the values of the brand you are
creating the mark.

Timeless
Design trends come and go, a good logo need to work for decades without
being redesign. Try to reasearch the market for trends and then avoid them.

Logo
functionalities
Dynamic Logo
Dynamic logo reffers to the logo’s silhouette that can be changed
up with different kind of graphics and special effects in order to
bring the brands character alive.

Responsive Logo
An adaptive logo can work as a horizontal lockup, or it can be
reduced to work in a square by removing the wordmark and leaving
only the symbol. The main point is that you can dress up the logo
with certain elements but you also need to have it in the most sim-
plest format as you can.

Typography
Basics
Display Fonts
Display fonts are used for titles, banners, packaging designs and
also for the logos. These are strong bold looking typefaces, where
some of them are also decorated in order to catch your attention.

Text Fonts
Text fonts are for reading purposes unlike display fonts. If you
would need to try reading a copywriting made with display fonts,
you would have a hard time. Text fonts are designed to be read fast
and they look kind a simple but they do a great job in reading.
