This is information that would already be known by the students, but is not expected to be known by
you all, my fellow classmates. This is a guide to complete the quiz.

Tone- Author’s attitude conveyed through their word choice and the formatting of the novel.
Mood- How you, the reader, feel when reading the novel.
Setting- The location, tone, mood, duration, and point in time at which the story occurs.
Foreshadowing- A sign or hint which warns what’s coming next, or soon to come.
Exposition- The beginning of the story which introduces the characters, setting, and initial context of the reading.
Inciting Incident- The event that sparks the main conflict of the story.
Rising Action- The series of events which build tension and foreshadow the climax.
Falling Action- What happens after the climax, easing tension and wrapping up the story.
Climax- Major conflict point of the story, with tons of tension and unease.
Resolution- The end of the story, where the conflict is resolved.
