The study by Anade et al. (2023) focuses on improving inventory management at Leyte Normal
University. It shows that using technology can make managing supplies more efficient and accurate. The
research identifies problems with old manual methods, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises
(SMEs) in the Philippines. The researchers suggest a new system using the two-bin system and
just-in-time theory to make operations smoother. They use surveys and action research to see if these
changes meet user needs and improve efficiency in the supply office.

Another recent work that investigated how logistics can affect the growth of e-commerce in a particular
country from Pua (2023). This study observes that online shopping is increasing because the Internet is
evolving and more people wish to shop online. Yet, transport is costly especially for SMEs, and the option
for the transport services remain limited putting them in a disadvantageous position in the market. As
pointed by the author of the study, it is good for small parcels because SMEs could actually reduce the
cost and become more productive in the event that the quality of logistics are improved. It also supports
the role of the government to intervene in the issues concerning the logistics because e-commerce and the
growth of the international trade sector enlightens the Philippine’s economy.

According to Tongzon (2018), the Philippines logistics industry has several problems due to the strict
regulations and poor infrastructure. This makes the logistics more expensive compared to other ASEAN
countries and affects trade performance. Based on the findings, the study suggests that by improving the
regulations and learning from the countries like Singapore, the county, Philippines, could improve and
make its logistics sector more efficient and also help the economy grow.

Mojica (2017) study on CAFFMACO's supply chain management highlights issues like equipment
problems, delivery delays, and outdated inventory systems. These findings are relevant to the study on
office management of logistic companies in Cavite, as similar challenges may affect logistics operations.
Improving these areas in logistics companies could enhance their efficiency and effectiveness, just as the
author suggested improvements for CAFFMACO.

Bisnar et al. (2018) found that Service Performance and Service Availability are key factors in why
customers choose certain logistics companies. Their study shows these factors greatly affect customer
satisfaction. To stay ahead, logistics companies should improve their service performance and availability,
use real-time communication, and strengthen their marketing. Upgrading employee training and adding
better payment options are also suggested to increase customer loyalty. The study also points out the need
for more research into other factors and newer logistics companies to better understand customer
preferences.
