Subject: Explanation for Late Resumption

I am writing to formally explain my late resumption for the current


academic session. I was admitted to the hospital for a period of 10 days
due to typhoid fever and malaria. This unforeseen circumstance prevented
me from resuming school on time.

Enclosed with this letter is a medical report from the hospital as evidence
of my condition. I deeply regret any inconvenience my late resumption
may have caused and assure you of my commitment to making up for the
lost time.
