INTRODUCTION
My project is centered on how to convert
coconut and rice husks into sustainable
briquettes charcoal in Ghana
The project is a long-term project.
Specifically,the project was undertaken in
the Adansi Atwereboana community where
farming is the most dominant activity.
The project started on 15th December,2024
with 15 people.
Although the community is famous for
coconut and rice farming, it has not seen much
economic gain from these activities.
Also, in recent years, charcoal has been
increasingly popular and highly demanded in
many large markets
These motivated me to produce briquettes
from coconut and rice husks within the
community to meet the rising demand and to
provide income and employment opportunities
to the community members. 2
