1. Introduction Lock nut Stainless steel A2 M6
Designed for usage on cranes to have a camera pointed downwards
Washer Stainless steel A2 M6
perpendicular. The damper absorbs sudden movements and procure
stability to all Orlaco cameras. Cameras of Orlaco have been balanced by Compact Oil Damped Unit
the factory. Other cameras have to be checked to determine the position
of their centre of gravity.

2. Mounting
2.1. Mounting Camera Bracket
Mount the Camera Bracket (NOT included; Camera Bracket is included
with AFZ Camera) to the Compact Oil Damped Unit with the included
mounting parts see figure 1. Use the following bolts nuts and washers.
• 4x Lock nut stainless steel A2 M6
• 4x Washer stainless steel A2 M6
Camera Bracket
• 4x Washer ST6 100 HV
• 4x Button head screw stainless steel M6 x 16
The optional safety chain can be mounted parallel with this to the camera
bracket. Washer ST6 100 HV

By using the Adapter pin Art. No. 2013280, the Suspension tube Art No.
0910270 should be fitted to the mast as shown in figure 2.
Always mount the suspension tube in line with the axis of the hoist gear.
Use the Lock pin to mount the camera to the Suspension tube. Use the
included Support plates to weld the Suspension tube firmly and square Safety chain
to the mast. The Safety chain should be fitted to the mast, not to the
Suspension tube.

Note that the holes in the Suspension tube for the Lock
pin in the right way at an angle of 45° to the mast is Figure 1
welded, see overview mast positions in figure 4.

Note: Please do not weld without permission of the crane owner of the hoist gear

2.3. Mounting to a crane with Mounting Bracket Set Additional


(The Mounting Bracket is NOT included). Using the Mounting Bracket Set Support plates
Additional, Art. No. 0910260, the Compact Oil Damped Bracked can be welded to the mast
mounted in different ways to the crane. (Square!)
When mounting the Mounting Bracket Set Additional; 2 bolts M8 and 2 45°
M8 washers are supplied. See figure 3.

The Safety chain should


be fitted to the mast,
not to the Suspension tube.

3. Deflection Compact Oil Damped Bracket to the mast
The maximum deflection of the Compact OGB is 74° to the left and 74° to
the right, see figure 4 and 5.

3.1. Adjusting damper

45°
It is possible to adjust the damping using the socket head wrench pro-
vided. Place the socket head wrench into the adjusting screw (A). Turn to
45°
+; provides maximum damping; use this position in the summer. 45°
Turn to -; provides minimum damping; use this position in the winter. The
damping can be felt by turning the shaft and simultaneously turning the
adjusting screw (A). See figure 5.

2. Turn the bolt (1) up until the hoisting hook is shown in the
centre of the monitor.
3. Lock the bolt with nut (2). See figure 6.

4. Maintenance and cleaning.
This product should NOT be cleaned with harsh chemicals or abrasive
cleaners.
