materials.
2.2 all right, everybody sits properly and look at
the chart. Light can travel in a straight line and in all
directions. A good example to show that light can travel
in a straight line is through the formation of a shadow. A shadow is the dark part that is formed when the path of

The light coming from the flashlight travels in a straight
line, as the light travels, it comes across different types of
materials.
23 There are materials that prevent the light from
passing through. These metals are called opaque
materials. When light is blocked by an opaque material a
shadow is formed.

Do you have any other examples of translucent materials?
Alright verygood. Japanese paper Ma’am.
2.5 Last are materials that allow lights to pass through.
These materiasl are called transparent materials.Examples
of these materials are clear glass and reading glasses.
Do you have another examples of transparent materials? Water, plastic cover etc.
Correct! Those are examples of transparent materials. All
types of materials are used in our day-to-day activities.
Each material has its own use
For example if you are planning to build a house, which
type of roof you are going to use? Opaque, Traslucent or
transparent? Opaque materials Ma’am.
Why? So that the heat of the sun cannot pass through.
3. Practice Exercise
( Pupils will be grouped into three group)
Directions: Using the light from a flashlight, identify the kind of material is given to your group. After the short
