Vera: Greetings, Brothers and Sisters! We are Group 1 and God has guided
us to answer the question: “Why do we give importance to the Old
Testament? Why not focus only on the New Testament?”
Page 2:
Vera: We give importance to the Old Testament because it's the root of the
word of God. They prophesied Jesus' future. It explains why Jesus was
chosen and how Jesus was the end of the Old Testament and the
beginning of the New Testament.
Jhaniela: Now, without reading the Old Testament, we wouldn't know the
context of the New Testament such as why Jesus was created. What made
Jesus spread the word of God? We would doubt the word of God, and the
New Testament would seem just like a mere story tale.

Vera: This question may cross your mind “What is the Importance of the
Old Testament in Christianity?” Well, This is because it is the foundation of
the faith.
Jhaniela: The events and teachings in the Old Testament provide crucial
context for understanding the events that took place in the New
Testament. In many ways, the New Testament builds off of and
supplements the ideas presented in the Old Testament.

Vera: This then leads us to our next question, “What are the benefits of
Studying both the Old and New Testament?”
Page 6:
Vera: By studying both the Old and New Testaments, Christians can get a
more complete picture of God's relationship with humanity and how he
has been present throughout history.
Page 7:
Vera: The Old Testament is highly valued for its historical context,
religious teachings, and cultural insights, contributing to a deeper
understanding of Christianity.

Vera: That’s Everything!
Jhaniela: Thank you and Have a Blessed Day! Sincerely from Group 1.
