26) The HCF of 65 and 117 is expressible in the form 65m – 117. Find the value of m. Also 3
find the LCM of 65 and 117 using prime factorisation method.
27) If three times the greater of two numbers is divided by the smaller one, we get 4 as the 3
quotient and 3 as the remainder. Also, if seven times the smaller number is divided by
greater one, we get 5 as the quotient and 1 as the remainder. Find the numbers.

28) In a chemistry lab, there is some quantity of 50% acid solution and some quantity of 25% 3
acid solution. How much of each should be mixed to make 10 litres of 40% acid solution?
29) In the given figure, CD and RS are respectively the medians of ∆ABC and ∆PQR. If 3
∆ABC ⁓ ∆PQR then prove that:

ii) AD×PR = AC×PS

32) (a) Using graphical method, solve the following system of equations: 3
3x – 2y 10 and 5x + 3y = 4. Shade the area of triangle formed with respect to x-
axis.
(b) A dealer sells an article for rs.75 and gains as much percent as the cost price of the 2
article. Find the cost price of the article.
33) A ladder set against a wall at an angle 45° to the ground. If the foot of the ladder is pulled 5
away from the wall through a distance of 4m, its top slides a distance of 3m down the wall
making an angle 30° with the ground. Find the final height of the top of the ladder from
the ground and the length of the ladder.
OR

A man on a cliff observes a boat at an angle of depression 30° which is approaching the
shore to the point immediately beneath the observer with a uniform speed. Six minutes
later, the angle of depression of the boat is found to be 60°. Find the time taken by the boat
from here to reach the shore.

34) In the given figure, AB is the diameter of a 3
circle with centre O. AQ, BP and PQ are
tangents to the circle. Prove that ∠POQ = 90°.

forming an A.P. If the number on the nth spot is 20 + 4n, then answer the following questions to
