Palliative Care (PC) is an essential component of comprehensive healthcare, it improves the

quality of life of patients and that of their families who are facing challenges associated with
life-threatening illness, whether physical, psychological, social or spiritual. The benefits of
integrating palliative care in health and wellness centers includes ,focus on patient well-
being, dignity, and comfort,increased patient satisfaction,enhanced patient centred care and
increased patient engagement in their own health care
it supports patients and families in making informed decisions about care it promotes the
efficient use of healthcare resources by reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and
interventions.
Despite these benefits, the integration of palliative care into HWCs faces multiple
challenges, that includes,resource constrain,stigma that palliative care is end-of-life
care,limited availability,burnout and compassion fatigue,communication challenges and poor
staff education and training Hence making palliative care underdeveloped or non-existent in
many Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs), particularly in resource-limited settings. Hence,
the current study will be carried out to assess the community need assessment for
implementation of palliative care at health and wellness centre thorough situational analysis.
