following questions to the help prepare you for you upcoming trial.

Section 1) Basic Volume
1) What is the volume of a cone with a height of 3.45 m and a
width of 457 cm?

2) What is the volume of a sphere with a radius of 4.29 inches?

3) What is the volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 43 cm


and a height of 0.64 m?
Section 2) Basic Hollow Volume
1) How many liters of air are in a soccer ball with a radius of 30
cm and has a thickness of 0.5 cm?

2) How much soup is in a soup can that is 6 cm wide and 28


cm tall if it has a thickness of 0.25 cm?

3) How many gallons of cake mix are in a 0.75 inch thick cake
pan with a height of 3 inches, a length of 12 inches and a
width of 5 inches?
Section 3) Volume Word Problems
1) Jenny is responsible for manning the auger during seeding
time. How long will she run the auger if it has to fill the bed of
a trailers that has a thickness of 1.5 feet, sides of 13 feet,
height of 20 feet if the auger dispenses 8 Gallons/Sec?

2) How long will it take 3 cows to eat a stack of hay that is 14 m


wide and 8 m tall if each cow eats at a rate of 1.5 liters of
hay/min?
3) A ball of string with a width of 69 cm rolls down a hill. If it
loses 0.75 L/sec how long will it take before the ball of yarn if
fully spun out?

Section 4) Advanced Volume Problems


1) Please design a box that can hold 430 L, if each marble is
made of glass and has a radius of 0.75 cm.
2) How long will it take a waterfall, that falls at a rate of 23.6
kg/min, to fill a pool that is 34 m long, 21 m wide, and 18 m
deep?

3) How many chunks of meat will James have to grind meat


into sausage casing if he has to fill 134 m of sausage casing
that is 7 cm wide if he grinds chunks of meat that 10 cm, by
10 cm, by 10 cm?
