AI Ethics Research Reflection

Instructions
As you research your AI ethics area, answer the following questions. Be prepared to
share what you have learned with your classmates!

Research Area: Social Media, Shopping, and Entertainment

1.​ Describe a technology that uses AI in your area of research. How does it work?
Who uses it?

When you are shopping you can scan an object and it connects to your bank
account and buys it for you. It would make it a lot easier to shop because you
wouldn't have to wait at a checkout line to buy your things, you can just scan
it.

2.​ Is there anyone or anything that may be harmed by this technology? Whom
does it impact? How?

People could make fake things that if you scan them, people could hack into
your bank account. A way to prevent this would be that things would have to
be tested before they would be allowed to be sold.
