COURSE INFORMATION

A. Course Description:
Ultimate Frisbee is a disc sport played by all age groups and various skill levels. This sport is played outdoors. It
involves the fundamental skills that include the grip, stance, footwork, throws, catch, cuts and running. Through skills
training, exercise drills, game pay and independent or self-directed Pas, fitness levels will be enhanced. In
conjunction with this, fitness levels, PA participation and dietary/eating patterns are evaluated to monitor one's
progress and achievement of personal fitness and dietary goals.

B. Pre-requisite:
I. Pre/Mid/Post Fitness Test and Log Sheet
2. Physical Activity and Food Log
3. Written/ Skills Assessment
4. Health and Fitness Modification Plan
5. Term Major Output: Portfolio (Fitness and Advocacy Journal), and Culminating Activity (Fitness Challenge)

GOALS OF THE COURSE

A. Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the students can:

COI: demonstrate an understanding of the importance of ultimate frisbee and the underlying principles and concepts in
achieving personal fitness and dietary goals.
C02: perform moderate to vigorous exercises or activities to achieve health and fitness through ultimate frisbee.
C03: practice healthy and active lifestyle through participation in sports and other physical activities and be the advocates
for fitness in their respective communities.

Pedagogical The course utilizes the following pedagogical strategies such as experiential learning, direct

Attendance, Every Student is expected to attend his/ her class promptly and regularly. In all cases of absences,
Assignment and a student may only be re-admitted to his/ her classes upon presentation of a letter of excuse signed
Submission by the parent/guardian (X. Social Norms, Section 3 Student Attendance, Section 3) A student's
Policies absence in class is limited to only 20% of the total number of hours of that subject in one semester.
In cases that the student incurs 50% of the 20% limit, he will be given a notice of absences;
However, a) if the student incurs more than 20% absences, he/ she is automatically dropped from
the subject/ course and will be marked DROPPED. b.) If the student has 3 consecutive absences
without valid reasons, he/ she will be dropped. (Student Handbook, 2020) Policies on distribution of
learning materials, submission of outputs/requirements, and class attendance will be discussed
during the class orientation.
Uniform and Every student shall wear the prescribed uniform on the days specified by the college. Students are
Decorum likewise required to wear the shop/ laboratory uniforms during their shop laboratory periods, the
prescribed PE uniform during their PE classes and NSTP uniform during their NSTP classes.
Students having PE as their first period class will be allowed to enter in their PE uniform. Students
are not allowed to play outdoor game while wearing the school uniform (Student Handbook, 2020).
Academic All forms of dishonesty as indicated as ideal class rules in the basic and higher education is
Honesty automatically equivalent to a failing grade of the academic exercise. Plagiarism is automatic "Failed"
and Scholarship in an output. Honesty is expected to be exhibited in all academic and non-academic activities.
Dishonesty in exams and in any academic work is deemed a major offense. Student found guilty of
such offense shall be given disciplinary action as stipulated in the Student's Handbook.
Special Persons with physical/ learning disabilities are requested to see the Professor within the first two
Education Need weeks of the semester. A doable strategy is designed by both the Professor and student throughout
