Radius of gyration (Rmin.) =1.59 cm

Unbraced length (L) =1000mm = 100cm


Eff. Length (Leff) =1.0 x 100
=100 cm (Considering effectively held in position at both
ends but not restrained in direction.)

Slenderness Ratio = Leff. / Rmin. = 100 / 1.59


= 62.893

Permissible stress (corresponding to Leff. / Rmin. = 62.89)

F = 992.7424 Kg/cm2

Permissible load carrying capacity per Vertical

= F x A = (992.7424 x 4.53) / 1000

 4.497 Tons
