Total Marks
(Out of 20):
Project Instructions:
 Each group must get their project approved by the course teacher before finalizing
it.
 Circuit MUST demonstrate a practical application of electronic devices components.
 Project must be simple enough so that students can purchase all necessary circuit
components themselves. They may use lab oscilloscope and power supply while
demonstrating.
 Students will be questioned about the functionality of the circuit and the use of all
components for producing circuit output.

Tasks:
(a) Build the circuit on breadboard, veroboard or PCB (Any is fine as long as wires are
connected securely. They must not come loose when demonstrating circuit to instructor). [5]
(b) Perform a 10-minute group PowerPoint presentation explaining circuit operation. All group
members must participate. The slides should be mailed to the course teacher beforehand. [5]
(c) Demonstrate operation of the physical circuit to the instructor and answer related questions.
(Minimal or no marks will be subtracted if the circuit output is not perfect as long as the
physical circuit connections are correct, and the theory makes sense). [10]
Guidelines for preparing a presentation:
For preparing the project presentation, the following points must be included:
Title Page: Students will provide an appropriate title for the project. The group members name and
relevant details should be provided on the title page.
Objective: Students will be presenting one or more objective/objectives of the project.
Theory and Methodology: Students will be explaining their methodology in brief. They may produce a
circuit diagram by pen or use circuit drawing software to explain the overall system of their project and
label the circuit diagram. They must use knowledge of electronic devices labs.
Apparatus: The students can select apparatus from the table below but are not limited to creating their
project according to their requirements. They can use the Lab Oscilloscope or sources to demonstrate the
project.

 BJT  Potentiometer  Breadboard

 Diode  Resistors  Multimeter
 Zener Diode  Capacitors  Ammeter/Voltmeter
 JFET  DC sources  DC Sources
 MOSFET  DC Batteries  AC Sources
 LED indicators  Any electronic sensors  Oscilloscope

Experimental Setup: Students must add images of the implemented hardware circuits in this section.
Simulation Setup: Students must design and simulate the circuit before the hardware implementation
here.
Data collection table/comparison table based on results: The students must include their collected
results and make a data table for analysis. If needed, they must plot their results.
Conclusion: Students must write reasonable conclusions here related to their project.
