Dear Parents/Students,
It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that our Association is going to organize its annual
event, ZENITH 2024: 11th Inter School/College Karate Do Tournament, on 9th & 10th November 2024
at the Jewish Girls’ School (Kolkata).
The grand event would see participation of around 250 boys and girls from various schools and
colleges of West Bengal, in the various categories of Kihons (Basics), Kata (Forms) and Kumite (Fight).
It is going to be a wonderful platform for the participants to showcase their talents at the various
levels. The Medal winners of ZENITH 2024 will be selected for the various upcoming official District,
Zonal and other State level Tournaments for the session 2024 – 2025.
Kindly go through the attached “General Instructions, Rules & Regulations” of the event for your
kind perusal.
We look forward to your whole-hearted participation in the said event, as this is, your own event.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, RULES AND REGULATIONS
9th November 2024 (Saturday): ONLY FOR ALL BLACK BELTS, BROWN 3 & BROWN 2 BELTS
- Reporting Time: 09.00 pm
- Event Details:
A. All participants need to perform 3 (three) rounds of KATA
1st Round – Any Kata of your choice
2nd Round – Any 1 (One) Kata from Gekesai Ich, Gekesai Ni or Saifa
3rd Round – Any Kata as announced by the Judges
The average of all the rounds will be considered as final score.
B. KUMITE will be conducted for 2 minutes on knock-out basis.
- Prize Distribution: 5.30 pm (Parents of the Black Belts & Brown Belts can join us for the prize distribution at 5.15pm)
- Dispersal: 6.00 pm onwards
10th November 2024 (Sunday): FOR ALL OTHER BELTS (White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue I, Blue II & Brown I)
- Reporting Time:
8.30 am – for all 9 years old and below & all White Belts
1.00 pm – for all 10 years old and above
- Event Details:
A. All participants (excluding Brown I) need to perform 1 (One) round of KATA of their own choice.
B. All Brown I belts need to perform 2(Two) rounds of KATA
1st Round – Any Kata of your choice
2nd Round – Any 1 (One) Kata from Gekesai Ich or Gekesai Ni
The average of both the rounds will be considered as final score.
C. KUMITE will be conducted for 1 minute for all belts, excluding Brown I Belts, as their KUMITE will be conducted for 1 ½ minutes.
D. All White Belts will have their event based on the KIHONS (Basics), which has been taught in the class.
E. TEAM KATA for Boys and Girls will be conducted after 1pm.
- Dispersal Time:
1.00 pm – for all 9 years old and below & all White Belts
6.00 pm – for all 10 years old and above
- Closing Ceremony: from 5.30 pm (Parents of all 10 years old and above are requested to join us at 5.15pm to
witness the Closing Ceremony, Prize Distribution & Demonstration in front of few distinguished Guests)
