Department Engineering Physics

My name is Fathkhurrahman Fikri, i was born in Mojokerto,East Java, Indonesia in 2005 and now
iam turned 19 years old. At this moment, Iam studying at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember
Surabaya precisely in study program of Engineering Physics.
My interest toward physics attracts me to choose that study program at ITS. Iam truly love physics
and from the past experience I already participated in National Olympiad Of Science of 2022, well
known as Olimpiade Sains Nasional in Indonesia that conducted by Pusat Prestasi Nasional. Well iam
only participated and don’t get medal at all in that national level. Before become participant in that
national level, I won that National Olympiad Of Science exactly for physics field at Province level
exactly at East Java in 2022 and won twice at Mojokerto Regency in 2022 and 2021 respectively,
these achievement leads me toward the opportunity to become the teacher and motivator at
Physics Olympiad team of Senior High School of Puri, well known as SMA Negeri 1 Puri Mojokerto. I
Became the teacher at 2023 to present. And, in total there were 24 of my student which teached by
me. Unfortunately in 2024 my school forgot to input the registration data of them and they can’t
enroll this Olympiad also In 2023 the former teacher got a heart disease and died, they become so
mad and I also cannot maximize the given one month remaining time to make them a winner at
regency level, so this make me not having a nice record at carry student to become a winner. Despite
that, I have rigorous dedication and experiences to teaching, and also having a nice public speaking
skill and critical thinking skils.

Sister’s of mine was releashing a paper that related with topic of materials. And this motivate me to
herrits her masterpiece, I have a propose to study a lot more about materials in my laboratory at
find engineering physics department, to make the research much more appealing, I decided to find
a references from overseas university, and the most appealing university that I desire to go is
Shibaura Institute of Technology, because it provided materials laboratory and I love japan so much
in term of environtment and social discipline behavior, and it’s offer such an opportunities fot ITS
Student’s to join the lab internship programs. All of these factor attracted me to join this program.

I have an experience of thinking critically which is proved by my achievement in National Oympiads


Science and an experience to collaborate as a leader and team which proved by my experience in
teaching 24 student and also resources and mentoring support from my sister to herrits her research
about material , precisely about the recycling process of Lithium Ion Battery makes me confident
that iam the perfect candidate for this program.

After finishing this program I would seeking more opportunities to collaborate with another student
at Shibaura Institute of Technology to conduct a further research about the recycling process of
Lithium Ion Battery, iam also consider to meet Professor Takasi Akito.
