1. A magnesium ribbon is burnt in oxygen to give a white compound ‘X’ accompanied by 2

(i) Write the chemical formula of ‘X’.

CuO. How can this black coating be converted into brown copper? Write chemical equation
for the reaction that occurs during the colour change.

(c) Silver chloride turns grey when exposed to sunlight. Give chemical equation to explain it.
