understanding of basic programming and 3D animation skills. Alex is encouraged to keep asking questions when
needed.

ENGLISH 09 Term 3: PROFICIENT

Tara Gordon-Cooper
https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/curriculum/english-language-arts/9

Term 3 Comments: Alex has had a good start to English 9. He easily keeps up with the work. He is quiet, but he
fully participates when it is asked of him. Moving forward, he should try to develop a regular reading habit. This
will help with building his vocabulary and knowledge, and increasing his speed. It will also expose him to the
variety of ways in which language, punctuation and grammar is used to express ideas.

Final: DEVELOPING

Kristy West

Term 2 Comments: By listening, reading, and viewing with intent, Alex is improving his ability to use the present,
past, and near future tenses to communicate and recount past events. Alex was unable to attend the exit
interview; nor did he hand in the two major assignments of our travel unit, a postcard and a scrapbook. Therefore,
I don't have enough evidence to give Alex Proficient. Alex started the year strong, but the second semester proved
to be more challenging. Alex worked hard this term to write at his level without relying on Google Translate. He
has shown improvement in his sentence composition and pronunciation. I hope to see him in French 10 next year.

FRENCH 10 Term 3: 98% (A)

Kindra Harte Lauren Montgomery-Stinson

Term 3 Comments: Bon travail! Great work this term!

Alex is an amazing student and a wonderful role model to his peers. He has worked hard and has demonstrated
proficiency in the following areas:

-deriving meaning from a variety of text

-engaging in conversations about familiar topics
-expressing ideas and opinions with increasing fluency, both orally and in writing

A goal for the next part of this course would be to continue to review French using duolingo and keep working on
past and future tense. Bon effort!

MATH 09 Term 3: PROFICIENT

Maren Chapman

Term 3 Comments: Alex showed proficient to extended understanding of concepts and competencies in rational
number operations, exponents, scientific notation and scale factor. He has demonstrated complete and
organized algebraic work and written explanation of concepts over the term. Alex frequently seeks to improve his
understanding by attempting extension concepts. Keep up the great work!
