abide with the NIC Policy/Rules and guidelines/instructions to be provided time to time.

will not be done at my end while uploading digital contents on NIC Server. I/We also agree
to give access of our library data in Union Catalog of Govt. libraries and to share uploaded
documents in public domain for educational purpose only.

 Guidelines and Policies
 e-Granthalaya 4.0 (eG4) is an e-Library Management Software from NIC, Cloud Ready Application and
provides a web–based data entry solution to the Libraries and Information Centres.
 The Application is hosted in NIC National Cloud Only and not given for local installation/implementation
except Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
 The Application is available Online for LIVE Data Entry as well as for providing Member Services over
Internet/Mobile.
 The Application as well as Database are hosted in NIC National Cloud and thus no need of having Server
in library, no AMC required and nothing to maintain at library end – thus provides an economical model
of library automation.
 Library needs a high-speed/dedicated net connectivity (Min 16 MBPS) to get the best performance of
application.
 As library data will be in a shared database mode, therefore, providing database backup for individual
library from NIC is not feasible. However, every member library will be free to EXPORT their data in
various formats (CSV/MARC/MARCXML/ISO:2709/EXCEL) using application module.
 There is no license fee for e-Granthalaya Software (4.0) and is provided FREE by NIC, however, Rolling
out of the software is done by NICSI where every Library needs to pay One Time payment of Rs.
21,275/= (inclusive all) to avail e-Granthalaya Services for the period of Five Years on NIC Cloud.
Charges are towards rolling out / Operationalization, Maintenance and Help Desk support provided by
NICSI.
 The payment will be made in 100% advance to “National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI)”
against the Invoice generated in your Organization name based on details given in PI Request Form.
While sending the payment to NIC/NICSI, it is requested to accompany the copy of Invoice sent by NICSI.
Once payment is received, library account details will be sent in librarian’s mail and then you may start
using the application online.
 After making payment to the NICSI (a Section 8 Company of Govt. of India under NIC) as per account
details given in your INVOICE, you need to send a duly filled PROJECT EXECUTION FORM along with
payment details such as mode of payment, PFMS Transaction ID or Bank UTR No etc.
 Data entry will be done by library LIVE / Online using software and no excel data migration will be done
by NIC. However, if library using eG3 then migration may be done by NIC from eG3 DB Backup.
 Library is requested to send the scan copy of duly filled PI Request Form/Library Details Form along with
covering letter in [email protected] and [email protected] addressing the letter to:

 NIC is the service provider while NICSI is a section 8 company under NIC/Government of India where
project is managed and funds are collected for rolling out of e-Granthalaya on NIC Cloud.

send to NIC e-Granthalaya team. PRN File is required to integrate your printer with e-Granathalaya
software
 One Barcode Scanner – any model and make. Please ask the vendor to set it so that it can read single
digit to many digits accession numbers, alpha-numeric.
