Introduction
Background
Digital technologies are transforming the automotive industry and disrupting traditional
business models. New business opportunities related to industrial revolution are merging so
companies or quired to adapt to the new environment. The following study focuses on
analysing future impact of digitalization of transformation on business performance models
and different Level of satisfaction. A huge range of aspects and factors derived from Digital
transformation in the automotive industry are considered. Currently the world is going
through constant change due to eruption of digital technologies which are forcing
transformation in the way of market and business operations in general (Albert et al., 2021).
This is generating or disruptive effect with respect to traditional procedures in terms of the
wave products are produced and exchanged and also how businesses are carried out and
benefits are obtained for producers and customers.
The impact of digital transformation in the world are easy to witness and they are producing
huge benefits to the entrepreneurs, customers as well as to the society in general however
there are certain issues with environment which need to be addressed. The disruptive impact
resulting from digitalisation has already successfully reached automotive industry and it is
beyond important phenomenon industry with 140-year-old history. Digital transformation,
Globalization and hard competition is leading the Digital transformation strategies are
important because they reflect the Omni presence of the changes broad about by digital
technologies in an organization (Kamble et al., 2021).
Organisations are required to change the traditional methods of doing business which has
been robust for various decades and transform it into adaptable technological newly
introduced changes. There are various factors which impact the automotive industry with
increasing influence and complexity and these factors in particular are globalization which
manufacture the opportunity to expand into new markets, the diversification of customers and
new pattern of behaviour and the requirement to satisfy their tests individually while the
diversification of products will imply the reduction of the life cycle of models to react faster
to the occurring changes in the demand for customers with innovative products
3
Average life cycle of a vehicle used to be previously 8 years while today manufacturers have
modified and changed their models within the space of 3 years (Nayal et al., 2021). These
days digital technologies in vehicle I have represented at least 50% of total value of vehicle.
Integration of software and hardware has increased not just the functionality of a car but also
the complexity, main aspect has been identified that contribute to accelerating the process of
automotive sector digitalization such as driver connectivity, location-based service and the
type of driver based on the preference and taste.
Another main aspect of Autonomous driving is fair drivers only require a Press of button to
go to their destination. In this regard assisted driving and autonomous driving can be
highlighted. Assistant driving covers functions for assisting the drivers which eventually
become increasingly common until the driver becomes a passive element in the transport
process. Digitalization can bring significant improvement to the value chain by posting
efficiencies, reducing costs and (Bhatti et al., 2021). Generating batter collaboration and
innovation. Increasingly connected vehicle is changing the business strategies from selling a
product to offering a value mainly focused on experience of customers.
The regal manufacturing will also play a huge role in robots of future generation that can
allow multiple assemblies and the increasing importance of artificial intelligence and
robotics. Other factors should also be considering the digital transformation of automotive
industry. The impact on retailer which covers manufacturers, Salesforce and consumers
which is dynamically redefining the way they communicate and interact with each other. The
clients expect of fluid interaction both digitally and physically when buying a service or
product. Maintenance and connected services which will provide productive maintenance are
sophisticated diagnostic system. Digital transformation has ability of facilitating both
software as well as hardware updates.
The car data market will also be a key factor where commercial promise of more precisely
targeted customer offers, new business models and increased efficiency from data and
analytics will make these businesses are veritable gold mine for automotive players. This will
generate an integrated communication network for constantly transforming digital movement
to increase and improve safety as well as traffic flow. For electric vehicle there will also be a
huge competition in manufacturers to deliver most sustainable EV model.an area that will
attract special interest and will be challenge in the aftermarket.
4
Digital transformation has made customer experience completely different in the automotive
market regarding to sales process, in car driving experience regarding after sales market. As
for electric vehicles There is going to be huge competition between manufacturers to deliver
the best sustainable electric vehicle model.the area that can observe a special interest and will
be a challenge in the aftermarket.
The 21st century has introduced unprecedented organization and economic growth for
developing countries like India and following the technological and industrial revolution
which were crucial for increasing the standard of living for people.50% of global population
resides in urban area and this huge portion is expected to even increase by 2/3rd by 2050 and
as other result of this change their influence on gumption and investment and innovations
increasing in cities. Cities are responsible for driving the economic growth and Urban
Development and prosperity for an improved state of living sustainability is a crucial part of
economic development as it ensures that the development is being taken place without
sacrificing the natural resources for future generation (Tripathy et al., 2020).
Comparing India with developing countries of different continents with various aspects is
also crucial to have a complete view on digitalisation of Indian automobile industry. The
main difference between Indian market and developed country is the price hike and cost. The
difference in cost between a private car and public vehicle indicates the form of
transportation which required to be chosen (Singh et al., 2021). Climate change has become
one of the biggest issues for all the industries regardless of their background and climate
change adaptation and mitigation strategies have become new necessities while forming
policies in business organizations.
Following the result of global warming that atmosphere is already suffering which can be
observed bye people as many natural phenomena have shifted from global warming including
retreat of glaciers and intense heat waves in colder climates. All these sudden changes call for
Immediate action through sustainability in different business organizations. Transportation
has always been classified in 2 multiple categories on the basis of definitions. The first is
done on the basis of surface where transportation is being driven, which is further divided
into 3 categories land transport, air transport and water transport (Duggal et al., 2021).
The second category includes transportation which includes animal transport, human porters
all roadways. On the basis of provided service transportation is categorised into passenger or
5
freight and on the basis of ownership it is classified into own or foreign this ensures the
proper functioning of the system. The root of transformation can be the main indicator for
virtual transactor. Sustainability and transformation are extremely important because of such
a system minimises the traffic congestion and improves the quality of air while reducing
poverty and bringing overall economic prosperity and equality (Kovačić et al., 2022).
Whenever there is absence of Environment Protection, the growth itself comes down in
developing countries since developing countries are the main ones facing major environment
challenges it is balancing the demand for personal mobility as well as mitigation of high
economic and environmental costs of motorization.
