others may question their actions from a
moral viewpoint

Health and Safety
All employees have a right to a safe
working environment and work conditions.
Regardless of the size of your business or
the industry you are in, as a business
owner, yiu are ultimately responsible for
ensuring the health and safety of
employees in the workplace. It's also
wise to remember that an employee's
psychological well-being is just as
important as their physical health, and it's
important to pay attention to both.
Ethical implications of people getting hurt
or sick while working for the business,
there's also the huge risk ti the business's
financial stability and reputation.
Some of the most common employee safety
considerations include:
→ Fall protection → Industrial trucks
→ Hazard communication → Ladders
→ Scaffolding → Electrical wiring methods
→ Respiratory protection → Machine guarding
→ Lockout, tag out → General electrical
regulations
Incorrect Accounting
“Cooking the books” and otherwise
conducting unethical accounting
practices is a serious problem,
especially in publicly traded companies.
Laws require organizations to maintain
accurate bookkeeping practices. The
legislation specifies financial report
requirements aimed at protecting
shareholders and consumer. All
organizations have to keep accurate
financial records and pay taxes to
attract investment and business
partners regardless of the size of the
company.
In order to make themselves appear more
profitable than they are, publicly traded
corporations may engage in unethical
accounting practices.
Deceiving shareholders and others with a
stake in your company's finances is a
serious offense by both ethical and judicial
standards.
Social Media
One of the current ethical
issues in business is the
question of employees
personal behavior on
social media outside of
work hours.
If an employee's written post, photo or video -
even if it was created off the clock or non -
working hours - risks damaging the business
reputation and losing customers and clients,
the employee could still face professional
repercussions.
Social media ethical issues in business

→ Posting negative or derogatory comments about the business
including anything libelous or defamatory.
→ Leaking private information about the company or its clients or
customers.
→ Harassment
→ Posting contents that denigrates an individual or group based on
race, sex, gender, religion or disability.

some danger, fraud or
other illegal or unethical
conduct connected with the
workplace, be it of the
employer or his fellow
employees.
