General Direction
o Page size, writing format & Style: 10-20 pages, 12 font size, font style: Times
New Roman, 1.5 spacing
o Assignment submission format: Assignment must be submitted in soft copy. The soft
copy should be emailed to [email protected].
o The justifications and answers for each sub-topic/case-question should consist of
introduction and conclusion.
o You are expected to use standard referencing styles (both in-text citations
and bibliography).
o Assignment due date: On or Before Final exam date
Dear students choose an organization in which you are currently working or other of your
interest and assess the strategic planning/formulation practices of the organization. You may
conduct the assessment with regard to environmental analysis, strategy formulation,
strategy implementation, strategy control and evaluation, managing large-scale strategic changes,
organizational restructuring and managing creativity and innovation.
The assignment will have the following components:
1. Introduction
1.1. Background of the study (brief description of issues related to strategic planning such
as environmental analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation etc.)
1.2. Background of the organization (the name of the organization, what it does, its
mission, values and goals)
1.3. Brief description of the methodology employed to gather and analyze the necessary
data.
2. Discussion
2.1. Discuss the results in your own words and relate to the relevant theories to the case.
2.2. In nutshell discuss the weaknesses and strengths of the organization with regard to
strategic planning and policy analysis.
3. Conclusion
4. Suggested Solutions
Give any tools and techniques that if employed could make the strategic planning/formulation
practice of the organization.
Note: You have to at least refer to 10 journal articles for literature and duly acknowledge
them in the reference part of the assignment to be submitted. Bear in mind that this is an
