36. Case-Study 1: Read the following passage and answer the questions given below.
Hardik when studding about Relation and Function came to know that
“A relation f from a set A to a set B is said to be function if every Element of set
A has one and only one image in set B”. And when a functional curve is drawn
the input elements are placed along the X-axis and images of them according to
the function are placed along Y –axis, to plot the points to draw the curve. He has
an algebraic expression√4 − 𝑥 2 , which he tried to experiment to whether it is a
function or not? And what is its character?

(i) What is the domain of this function?

(ii) What is image of x=0 according to this function?
(iii) What is the range of this function?
OR
what will be the range of the function obtained by taking image of this function
on X-axis?
37.Case-Study 2: Read the following passage and answer the questions given below.
During study of triangles relating angles of them with ratios of its sides it is found
that for two different angles A & B may not be in the same triangle, Fiona
3 5 𝜋 3𝜋
obtained that 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝐴 = and 𝑐𝑜𝑠𝐵 = − , where 0 < 𝐴 < , 𝜋 < 𝐵 < .
