Assignment 1 points
Assignment 1 points
Ques 1: Draw the projection of the following points taking a common reference line, keeping
the distance between any two consecutive points as 20 mm:
a) 30 mm in front of VP and 30 mm above HP.
b) In HP and 25 mm in front of VP.
c) 25 mm above HP and 40 mm behind VP.
d) In VP and 40 mm above HP.
e) 40 mm below HP and 25 mm in front of VP.
f) In VP and 40 mm below HP.
g) In both HP and VP.
Ques 2: State the quadrants in which following points are situates:
a) A point C, its top view is 35 mm above XY and its front view is 25 mm below the XY
line.
b) A point D, its top view is 40 mm below XY line and its front view on the XY line.
c) A point E, its top view on XY line and from view 40 mm from the XY line.
Ques 3: A point P is 40 mm below HP, in third quadrant and its shortest distance from XY line
is 55 mm. Draw its front and top views.
Ques 4: A problem E is 20 mm below HP and 20 mm behind VP. Another point F is 30 mm
above the HP and 40 mm in front of the VP. The distance between the projectors of E and F is
50 mm. Draw the projections pf points E and F. Also draw straight lines joining front and top
views.
Ques 5: Two points P and Q are in VP. Point P is 25 mm above HP while point Q is below the
HP. The distance between the projectors of P and Q is 60 mm. The line joining the front views
(pʹ and qʹ) of the two points makes angles of 45˚ with the XY line. Draw the projections of line
PQ and find the distance of the point Q below the HP.
Ques 6: A point P is 30mm above HP and 25 mm in front of VP. Determine its least distance
from the XY line.
Ques 7: For the left-side view and right-side view draw the projections of the following points
whose positions are given by their co-ordinates (X, Y, Z) in mm.
a) A (+40, +20, +30)
b) B (-40, -20, -30)
c) C (+40, +20, -30)
d) D (-40, +15, +30)
e) E (-40, -10, +20)
f) F (+40, -20, +30)
g) G (+40, -20, -30)
h) H (-40, +20, -30)
