THEORY (If someone other than you is paying for the course, please make sure they are fully aware of our policies.)
ELearning - All modules of the Online program must be successfully completed prior to in-vehicle training, and you should be
advance registered for your 5 hours of In Person Theory.
All lessons are PRIVATE. With your course fee, you receive 10.50 hours of in-car instruction (unless you have chosen a larger
package with more driving hours). Pick up and drop off points are available within the designated area and must be arranged
when scheduling your lessons. Some lessons will be booked as 90 minutes depending on the skills taught and your pickup
point. We prefer to concentrate on defensive driving skills being taught in the city; so students living in outlying areas are to
arrange an in-town pick up point in order to avoid straight line driving. For those students assessed as ready for licensing, the
last half hour is typically designated as your Government Road Test. Be sure to have your Learner's Permit & eyeglasses (if
you need them) for each in-car lesson.
To schedule your first lesson, your license needs to be on file with the office and should be uploaded in your client portal. Once
reviewed by the office, the self-scheduling in your portal will be activated. Lessons are scheduled online, or you can contact our
office with questions. All bookings are reviewed and then confirmed by the office. If a modification is required, we will contact
you to adjust. Our primary source of communication is email so please check it regularly and keep us updated on changes or
added contacts.
If you are unable to keep an in-car appointment, you can reschedule online at any time. We require 48 hours’ notice for all
cancellations, otherwise a $50 fee will apply. Cancellations cannot be done via email or voicemail. Our self-scheduling system
is a convenient tool, so if you have any problems give us a call.
Remember to spread your lessons out, to allow for practice as recommended by your instructor, and based on your eligibility for
testing at ServiceNB. The final 1.5hours of your program is reserved for your road test, when assessed ready, so please
reserve it for the office to make those arrangements on your behalf.
REFUND POLICY Refunds are available, with written notice, and are based upon services that have not been rendered.
Course deposits are non-refundable after a class has started. A 10% Administration Fee will apply to all refund amounts. There
are no refunds available after one year from the start of the program. The course must be completed within one year of the
course start date. If you require an extension, please contact the office so we can help you out. Returned cheques will incur a
fee of $35, and the account paid in full for training to resume.
ROAD TEST INFORMATION The road test is scheduled by the office for students ready for licensing. Students MUST BE
ASSESSED as ready for a Road Test by successfully passing their in-car evaluations before a Driver’s Test is booked. We
designate your last half hour of training as your actual Government Test with the hour before being a warmup review lesson.
On test day, students are to meet their instructor directly at SNB. There is a Provincial Exam Fee of $28.75 which is to be paid
at SNB prior to meeting your instructor. Most of you will pass on your first attempt but if you do not, don't despair - we all make
mistakes. Re-book another test immediately and keep practicing! If you want your instructor to take you a second time, it will
be an additional $127.50 plus tax for the 90-minute lesson.
CERTIFICATES To qualify for your Provincial Certificate of completion and your insurance discount, you must successfully
complete and pass all components of the course curriculum. Once your program is completed including the payment of all
outstanding fees, the Certificate will be provided. If a replacement Certificate needs to be generated a charge of $25.00 will
apply.
DMV RULES THAT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS You are required to have your Provincial Certificate from Atlantic Driving
Academy on the day of your Government Road Test. The Certificate will be issued by your instructor on your last driving
lesson (typically Road Test day). If you are taking your Road Test in a car other than your instructors, please be sure to take
your Provincial Certificate and your Learner’s Permit. Without them you will not be allowed to take your test! We cannot be
responsible for any inconvenience that this may cause at the Examiner’s Office. Also, you must ensure you have the vehicle
registration, insurance card and valid inspection.
FEES FOR ADDITIONAL TRAINING One-hour private lesson - $85.00 plus tax
