Method statement For Tower cranes and SPB Lifting & Jumping.

Implementing a clear tower crane and SPB lifting plan ensures safety and efficiency.
The plan includes:

. Strategic placement of SPB initials for lifting and jumping.

. Staggered height management between the crane and SPB.

. Real-time monitoring of operations.

1. Planning Phase

1.1. Engineering Study

• Conduct a detailed engineering analysis to determine:

• Tower crane / SPB height and load capacity.

• SPB specifications, including weight and dimensions.

• Ground conditions and foundation strength.

• Wind and weather conditions at the site.

1.2. Risk Assessment

• Identify potential hazards, such as:

• Instability of the crane or SPB during lifting.

• Ground settlement or uneven surfaces.

• Weather conditions (wind, rain, etc.).

• Develop mitigation measures.

1.3. Equipment Selection

• We Choose appropriate equipment based on:

• Required lifting height and load.

• Crane type (crawler, mobile, or hydraulic).

• Additional support systems like guy wires or outriggers.

2. Preparation Phase

2.1. Site Setup

• We already Ensured a level and stable ground for the tower crane.

• Installed a concrete foundation and base plate as per design requirements.

• Barricaded the lifting area to restrict access.

2.2. Inspection and Testing

• Inspect all lifting equipment:

• We Check crane’s structural integrity and mechanical systems.

• We Verify the load charts and calibration of the lifting mechanism.

• We can Conduct load testing for SPB components if needed.

3. Lifting Execution

3.1. Tower crane Lifting

• Erection:

• We already done the erection of tower crane in the lift cut out area.

• We Sequentially add mast sections using the tower crane’s climbing frame as mentioned in the
drawing which we submitted.

• We Monitor plumbness and secure each section with bolts.

• Safety Checks:

• We Perform checks after every mast section is added.

• We Ensure stability using guy wires or tie-ins to the structure.

3.2. SPB Lifting

• Lifting Process:

• We Secure the SPB with slings or lifting beams at designed points as per the submitted drawing.

• Slowly we raise the SPB while ensuring it remains level.

• We Use tag lines to control movement and prevent swinging.

• Alignment and Placement:

• P & M in charge can Guide the SPB into position using personnel on the ground.

• We Check alignment and adjust as needed before final placement.

4.Jumping Procedure for SPB:

4.1 Staggered Height Maintenance:

• Ensure a minimum staggered height of 6.0 meters between the crane and the SPB during operations.

. Jumping Sequence:

• Perform SPB jumping every two floors, alternating with girder changes.

4.2. Girder Usage:

• Use three girders at the initial stage.

• Remove one girder after the first slab is cast.

• One additional girder will be kept rotating for continued support and operation

5. Post-Lifting Activities:

5.1. Inspections

• Inspect the installed tower crane and SPB for stability and alignment.

• Check for damages to components or anchor points during lifting.

5.2. Safety Protocols

• TPI can Conduct a briefing to address issues encountered during lifting.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

5.3. Documentation

• Maintain records of:

• Lifting plan and execution.

• Inspection reports.

• Lessons learned for future operations.

6. Safety Considerations

• We have Appointed a qualified lifting supervisor.

• We also Monitor weather conditions throughout the operation.

• Will Ensure all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• We Implement an emergency response plan in case of failure.

Detailed Drawing have been given in the submitted drawing.

Thank You.
