JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) and LABORATORY ENGINEER

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for Project Positions as per the details given below, for research project,
under the principal investigator Dr. G. Lakshminarayanan, Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication
Engineering, in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-15, Tamil Nadu.

Title of the Project: Development of Indigenous / Shakti Processor based SoC Designs.
1. Funding Agency for the Project: Centre for System On-Chip (SoC) Design and Fabrication
2. Project Positions and Number: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)-01 & Laboratory Engineer - 01
3. Qualifications:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)-01:
Essential Requirements: B. E/ B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with First Class from a
recognized University/ Institute and M. E/ M. Tech/ M.S. in VLSI Design / Embedded Systems / Microprocessors
any other specialization in ECE related to VLSI. Knowledge and experience in VLSI Tools will be an added
advantage.
2. Laboratory Engineer-01
Essential Requirements: B. E/ B. Tech in ECE/EEE/ICE with First Class from a recognized University/ Institute
Desirable: Minimum 1 year experience with the relevant field of VLSI/ASIC and having strong understanding on
front-end/back-end developments in FPGA/ASIC projects, RTL, verification and physical design.
4. Emoluments: Rs.35,960/- per month (consolidated) for the first 2 years and Rs.40,600/- per month (consolidated)
for remaining three years for JRF. Rs.25,000/- per month (consolidated) for the first 2 years and Rs.30,000/- per
month (consolidated) for remaining three years for the Lab Engineer
5. Duration: 60 Months (extension based on performance review every 12 months)

A. Job Description: To support various critical research and development tasks, developing novel ideas, data collection,
project execution, and preparation of technical articles and reports.
B. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
