Tubes for blood serum obtaining - red stopper

The tubes contain granules as a serum separator and clotting activator. Clotting activator allows to clot sample of blood in max 20-30 minutes
(average 15 min). The granules guarantee obtaining large amounts of blood serum free of cellular elements, and protect serum against hemolysis
and soil by blood cells.

Tubes for blood plasma obtaining - green stopper

The tubes contain sodium or lithium heparin in proportions 18 l. U./ml of blood. Anticlotting action of heparin results from thrombin suppression
in different processes of hemostasis. After centrifugation of whole blood and separation of cells elements, obtained plasma is used e.g. for:
biochemical, hormonal and tumor markers tests.

Tubes for hematology tests - lavender stopper

The tubes contain K2EDTA or K3EDTA as an anticoagulant, which protects blood against clotting and developing micro-clots which can clog the
measuring system of analyzer. Spraying of 34% K2EDTA or K3EDTA solution on the internal surface of tube walls guarantees fast and fully mixing
of anticoagulant with blood. This assures that osmolality remains constant and the cells are not damaged.
The tubes are available with common stoppers for manual use or pierceable stoppers for use with hematology analyzer, equipped with an
automatic blood draw in device.

The tubes contain sprayed K2EDTA as an anticoagulant in the same form and concentration as tubes for hematology. They differ from those
tubes in size and amount of blood collected, due to test requirements. These tubes have a light blue stopper in order to distinguish them from
hematology test tubes.

Tubes and accessories for ESR determination tests – black stopper

The tubes for ESR determination contain 3,8% solution of sodium citrate as an anticoagulant. The test is performed by filling the tube with blood
to the level of volume mark, and then gently mixing it with anticoagulant. After removing of the stopper from the test tube, the ESR pipette should
be inserted smoothly in to the collecting tube with blood until it reaches the bottom. Then the set is ready for test and should be placed in vertical
position to the stand for 60 min.
Measuring pipettes for ESR determination are offered separately or as a set with tubes for blood collection. They are made of highly transparent
plastic. The filter caps on the top of the pipettes protects the personnel against blood flow out and provide self-adjustment of blood level at “0”
point. The special rubber seal allows fixing the pipette into the collecting tube in vertical position and enables self-filling of the pipette by pressure,
thus eliminating necessity of using the piston.
For performing ESR tests we recommend stands with clips, which allow placing ESR set in a vertical position, or holders made of transparent
plastic, which could be used as a stand for tubes with blood.

The tubes contain 2,95% solution of sodium fluoride, which prevents process of glycolysis and keeps a stable level of glucose in blood for
4 hours from the moment of its collection. As an anticoagulant, water solution of 1,5% K2EDTA is used.

Reticulocyte staining kits – mauve stopper

The kits for reticulocyte staining contains 100µl of stable, buffered 1% solution of brilliant cresil blue stain which allows the determination of the
erythrocyte count. Few drops (about 120 µl) of blood should be added directly to the tube with stain and incubated for 10 minutes at room
temperature. The stain reacts with RNA of erythrocytes and erythrocytes become a pale blue color making them easy to identify.
