Create Default & Extend Schedule

 Default Schedule
To Create a Default Schedule for a Doctor
Click the Default Schedule button.

 The Default Schedule window will display.

1. Select the required Doctor & clinic from the drop down list.
2. Click to select the week days during which the doctor will be available.
3. Select the time interval of the doctor’s availability in the specified clinic ‘From – To’.
4. Select the Visit Type for this schedule.
5. Select the No. of patients.
6. Click the Save button.

Create Default & Extend Schedule

 The newly added default schedule, will be added for the doctor.

 Extended Schedule
An extended schedule is used when there is a need to make a change in the default schedule just for a
specified period of time. This change can be that the doctor will not be unavailable for a defined
duration of time or by stating that the doctor will be available in the specified period yet in a different
pattern from that of his/her default schedule.

To Create Extended Schedule


1. Click the Extended Schedule button.

 The Extended Schedule window will display.

The window provides two options for Doctor Availability, based on the type of schedule change
required. The user can select one of these options by clicking the corresponding radio button

Doctor Availability options:


› Doctor is not available in the selected period.

› Doctor is available.

› Doctor Is Not Available


This deactivates the doctor’s default schedule for a defined period of time (interval of days) corresponds
to the specified interval in the Appointment Date ‘from – to’ field
1. Select the clinic from the doctor’s list of clinics.
2. Enter a Description for this Extend schedule.
3. Select the required duration from the Appointment Date ‘From – To’ calendars.

 The changes you specified will be applied on the doctor’s default schedule.

 The specified period day(s) will be colored on the calendar as Blocked Session(s) as shown in the
legend at the bottom of the screen. › Doctor Is Available

› Doctor Is Available

This is used to change (edit) the doctor’s default schedule for a defined period of time (interval of
days) corresponds to the specified interval in the Appointment Date ‘from – to’ field

1. Select the clinic from the doctor’s list of clinics.

2. Enter a Description for this Extend schedule.

3. Select the required duration from the Appointment Date ‘From – To’ calendars.

4. Select the time interval for the doctor’s sessions from the Time ‘From – To’ drop down lists.

5. Select the Visit Type for the sessions from the drop down list.

6. Click to select the week days for the doctor’s availability in the specified duration
