learned about context clues and today we will continue learning about it. But this time, we will be
talking about context clues by appositive, inference and word analysis. Enjoy!
For today, you need to achieve two things. These are to:
know what context clues by appositive, inference and word analysis are; and

In reading, you may encounter unfamiliar words. There are times when words or sentences
give you a clue to the meaning of a word. We call these context clues. Context clues may
appear in different ways:
Using the things you have learned today, do the exercise below. All you have to do is to
use different context clues to give the meanings of the underlined word in the paragraph.
Then consult the dictionary for the actual meanings of the words. Use the example below
as your guide.
On hot days, the cool breeze jostles the weeds that line the walls. The sand is damp and loose; water quickly
fills a footprint or hollow where a stone has been. There are flattish pebbles tinged with green. Water trickles from the
walls that arch above the stream and drips into the lazy current with sudden metallic plofs.

when a person slap you, turn your other cheek around and leave vengeance to God.
