CHAPTER FOUR

4.0 RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The Purpose of this Study is to determine the effect of Death rate and birth rate on Nigeria

Population.

The result obtained is based on the data gotten from National Bureau Statistics (NBS)

Statistical Bulletin (2020).

4.1 DETERMINATION ON THE EFFECT OF DEATH RATE AND BIRTH RATE

ON NIGERIA POPULATION.

Hypothesis A

H0: There is no significance effect on death rate and birth rate on Nigeria population.

H1: There is a significance effect on death rate and birth rate on Nigeria population.

DECISION RULE: Reject H0 if the p-value is less than the level of Significance otherwise
Accept.

a. Dependent Variable: Population
b. Predictors: (Constant), Birth rate, Death rate
From the Table 4.1 the p-value (0.000) is less than (0.05) that is we fail to accept the null

hypothesis, which means that Death rate and birth rate has a significant effect on Nigeria

Population.

4.1 DETERMINATION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEATH RATE,

BIRTH RATE AND NIGERIA POPULATION.

Hypothesis A

H0: There is no Relationship Between death rate, birth rate and Nigeria population.

H1: There is no Relationship Between death rate, birth rate and Nigeria population.

DECISION RULE: Reject H0 if the p-value is less than the level of Significance otherwise
Accept.

RATE, BIRTH RATE AND NIGERIA POPULATION.

From the Table 4.2 It shows that Nigeria Population has a very Strong Positive relationship of

(0.999) and (0.994) with Death rate and Birth Rate. While Death Rate has a very Strong

Positive Relationship of (0.992) with Birth Rate.
