Benefits of Globalization to
Communication
As technology advances, the world is both getting larger and
1 smaller. Today we are able to communicate with people across
the globe at the touch of a button. While globalization, or
communication between nations beyond their borders, is an old
concept, with the onset of new technology globalization is
impacting the ways we communicate and learn in fascinating
ways. We are expanding our understanding of fellowship and
as we become more connected, we are deepening our
educational experiences.
2 the world becomes more accessible and equitable in general.
Search engines, EBooks, online courses and other virtual
education give more people the ability to learn about subjects
that used to require a certain level of income or social
positioning. Information isn't as restricted and it allows us the
opportunity not only to receive information but to enter into
academic spaces and contribute.
EFFECT OF GLOBALIZATION
TO COMMUNICATION SKILLS
A. VIRTUAL INTERACTION
Globalization has made virtual
Streamlined Accounting
communication a big part of work. People
need to learn how to use tools like email and
virtual meetings properly, as they are
different from talking face-to-face. Training
programs now help people get better at
these virtual skills.
B. CULTURAL AWARENESS IN SPEECH:
Talking to people from different
cultures requires understanding
their way of speaking. Even if
you speak the same language,
words, tone, and topics might
differ. Training now helps people
learn these differences to
communicate better.
C. CULTURAL AWARENESS IN BODY LANGUAGE:
Body language, like eye contact
and personal space, varies across
cultures. What’s normal in one
culture might be rude in another.
Training programs teach people
how to understand these
differences for better
communication.
D. TIME DIFFERENCES:
Working with people in different
time zones can be tricky. You
might be working while they are
sleeping. Training programs now
help people learn how to
communicate well despite these
time differences.
