2. Objectives:
 Understand the fundamentals of Nanotheory, necessary background for
applications in various industries.
 Learn the components of Nano materials in detail, and its working in different
applications
 Understand the general scientific concepts required for technology, Apply the
concepts in solving engineering problems,
 Explain scientifically the new developments in engineering and technology, and
get familiarized with the concepts, theories, and technological applications.

3. Course Outcomes:
1 CO-1:Understand the fundamentals of Nanotechnology
2 CO-2: Identify the importance of different classes of Nano materials.
3 CO-3: Develop an opinion on various synthesis and characterization techniques
involved in Nano technology.
4 CO-4: Summarize the general scientific concepts required for technology, Apply the
concepts in solving engineering problems.
5 CO-5: List the new developments in engineering and technology, and get familiarized
with the concepts, theories, and technological applications.

high regard to legal and ethical responsibilities.

1. PO-1: Engineering Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics,
computing, science, electrical and electronics engineering.
2. PO-2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse
complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first
principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. PO-3: Design / Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex
engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the
specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and
cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. PO-4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based
knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and
interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid
conclusions.
5. PO-5: Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques,
resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and
modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the
limitations.
6. PO-6: The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual
knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the
consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
