VII. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course aims to teach digital literacy competencies in conjunction with 21st century skills through the use of digital technologies. At the end of the course, learners are
expected to be capable of: being able to integrate digital technologies into the activities in everyday life; being able to use ICT to express their creativity and improve their
professional performance; being able to connect, share, communicate, and collaborate with others effectively in a digital environment; being able to protect their privacy and take
appropriate security measures; behaving appropriately and in a socially responsible way in the digital environment and being aware of the legal and ethical aspects on the use of
ICT.

In consonance to par (2), Section 78, Rule 20 of the Students’ Handbook of NSU. Additionally, the following policies shall also be observed:
1. Naval State University uses the class method of teaching, which assumes that each student has something to contribute and something to gain by attending classes. It further
assumes that there is much more instruction absorbed in the classroom. Therefore, students are expected to attend all regularly scheduled class meetings and should exhibit good
faith in this regard. For the control of absences, this course will adopt the following regulations based on the NSU Student Handbook:
1.a. A student shall be dropped from the class roll when the number of hours lost through unexcused absences and/or late enrollment reaches twenty percent (20%) of the total
prescribed number of hours of recitations, lecture, laboratory, or shop work in one semester.
1.b. If for any unavoidable reason a student is absent, a certification from his attending physician or parent should be presented to the instructor concerned upon the student’s return.
1.c. Excuses are for the time missed only. All works covered by the class during the absence shall be made-up to satisfy the requirements of the course .
