My Friend The Alien Robot

Last summer Tim went to visit his aunt and uncle in Japan. He remembers this
holiday for a reason. Of course, he loved Tokyo but what happened there is
something that he will never forget. And now here is Tim to tell you his story.

Well, I was in my room one night and I wanted to find another blanket for my bed
because it was a little cold. I tried to open a cupboard but it was locked. I found
the key and opened it. When I looked in the cupboard, I saw a robot just sitting
there. I never saw a robot before, and this robot didn’t do anything. You must be
broken I said and I closed the cupboard door. Then I heard a voice saying no
battery no battery. It was coming from the cupboard.

I was scared but I opened the cupboard again and tried to find where his batteries
were, but I couldn’t. Then I saw a flashing light on his right leg. It looked like a box.
I opened it and saw there were no batteries. I found new batteries in the desk in
my room and put them in. Suddenly, the robot woke up and said thank you very
much. Now I must go. No, wait you can’t leave, I told him.

I must leave said the robot. You see this is not my home. My home is in space on
another planet. They sent me here to learn about earth. One day I saw that the
window of this room was open and I came in. I only wanted to have a look but
someone came at that moment. I hid in the cupboard but then they locked it and
left. I couldn’t get out.

Now let’s go to the roof and I will show you, said the robot. I went up with him and
he showed me his spaceship. It was really small but he said it was very fast. I told
him I never met an alien before and he just laughed. Then, he thanked me for
helping him and gave me a high five and said goodbye. When he left, I went down
and told my aunt and uncle about what happened. My aunt thought I was dreaming
and said that many people dream of aliens. My uncle just laughed and asked me if
the alien robot was made in Japan. Nobody believed me but I have a photo of me
with him on the rooftop, so I know it’s true. One day I will show the photo to my aunt
and uncle.
