Task Description:
Students are to develop a multimodal digital composition that includes an embedded speaking element in
response to ONE of the following questions:

“People live longer today than they ever have. They live happier lives, have more knowledge, more
information. All this is the result of communications technology. How is any of that bad?

How does this idea align with your study of the prescribed text and ONE text of your own choice? In your
response you must refer to TWO concepts covered in class.

Instructions:

● The published, written component is to be 700-750 words in length is to be submitted to the


Google Classroom Assessment Hub at the time of your final submission.
● The speaking component is to be a 3-5-minute audio-visual recording of YOU speaking.

● Your digital composition should also include relevant materials from your prescribed text and
related text (video clips, still images, extracts from articles or other relevant sources).
● You are responsible for ensuring that all links, text, images, and videos work prior to your
submission.
● You are to use any appropriate platform that can be uploaded to Google Classroom to construct
your task.
