Email Testing, Sending & Analysis
Content Detective
Example:
If your email includes the phrase "Earn money fast!", Content Detective might flag it as
a spam trigger and suggest rephrasing it to "Explore new income opportunities" to
improve deliverability.

Four Steps to Send:
Send Classification
● Uses the From Name and From Email Address from user data.
● Usernames are typically not ideal for From Names.
Custom Personalization
● Allows you to populate the From Name and From Email Address with static
information.
● Requires domain verification for successful implementation.
AMPscript
● Supports dynamic population of the From Name and From Email Address.
● All data must be sourced from a single data source.
● Data can also be in a separate Data Extension, enabling flexibility in data
management.
● IP Address
● Header
● Footer
* Header and Footers in the delivery profile only use Classic Content. Best
Practice is to
build them into a template.
Creating a Send Classification
Classifies the send as:
● Commercial
● Transactional
CAN-SPAM Classification:
● Commercial: For typical marketing emails where recipients have opted-in to receive
communications.
● Transactional: For emails triggered by a specific action like purchase confirmation or
password resets, where opt-out options may be limited.
Sender Profile:
● "From" name and email address displayed to the recipient.
● Reply-to address.
● Any custom sender headers needed for specific situations.
Delivery Profile:
● The IP address used to send the email.
● Authentication settings (DKIM, SPF, DMARC) related to the sending domain.
A/B Testing
● To ensure that you always have the most up to date email address in All
Subscribers, import subscriber data to All Subscribers in addition to Sendable
Data Extensions.
● Create attributes for subscriber data that you want stored in All Subscribers.
Active: The subscriber can receive emails without any issues. Address is valid and
deliverable and sends will be attempted to that address.
Bounced: The subscriber can't receive emails because of bounced sends.Email sent to
that address has bounced. Bounce type does not matter-could be hard, soft, block,
technical, or unknown.
