I.1 INTRODUCTION

Cafe Inizio is a delightful coffee shop strategically located at the front of Holy Cross
of Davao College, offering a range of enticing beverages that cater to both coffee enthusiasts
and non-coffee drinkers alike. Specializing in iced coffee and a variety of non-coffee drinks,
Cafe Inizio ensures that every sip is a delightful experience for its patrons. Their menu
features a diverse selection of flavors, from the refreshing Cloudy Matcha to the indulgent
Caramel Macchiato, satisfying the diverse taste preferences of their customers.

One of Cafe Inizio's core values is to uphold the quality of their products while
meeting the demands of their clientele. Prices at Cafe Inizio range from 39 to 85 pesos, with
sizes available in 16 oz and 22 oz, providing options that suit different preferences and
budgets. However, despite their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, the cafe
faces challenges related to stock management for beverages and their suppliers. This
inefficiency in tracking inventories adds unnecessary complexity to their daily operations.

One of the significant challenges faced by Cafe Inizio is the management of stock for
beverages and dealing with suppliers. This includes maintaining adequate inventory levels of
coffee beans, syrups, and other ingredients essential for their wide range of beverages. The
inefficiency in tracking these inventories not only leads to potential stock shortages but also
adds unnecessary complexity and workload to their daily activities. This includes tasks such
as manual inventory counts, reconciling supplier orders, and ensuring timely deliveries, all of
which contribute to operational inefficiencies and can impact the overall customer
experience. Addressing these inventory and supplier management issues is crucial for Cafe
Inizio to streamline their operations and maintain consistent product availability for their
customers.

Implementing an operations management system would significantly benefit Cafe

Inizio by enabling them to track their inventory, sales, and operations in real-time and with
increased efficiency. Such a system would provide a comprehensive and centralized platform
to monitor the stock levels of beverages and ingredients, allowing the cafe to maintain
optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking situations. Additionally, real-
time sales tracking capabilities would provide valuable insights into customer preferences,
popular items, and sales trends, helping the cafe make data-driven decisions to improve
offerings and boost revenue. Moreover, the streamlined operations facilitated by the system
would reduce manual tasks, enhance communication with suppliers, and improve overall
workflow efficiency, ultimately leading to a smoother and more effective operation of Cafe
Inizio.
