Nodal_Analysis_Experiment_Better

The experiment aimed to verify nodal analysis by comparing measured node voltages and currents in a circuit with theoretical calculations. Results indicated that the measured values closely matched the theoretical ones, confirming the reliability of nodal analysis despite minor discrepancies. Factors such as component tolerances and measurement inaccuracies were noted as potential sources of these differences.

Introduction:
This experiment aims to verify nodal analysis by measuring node voltages and currents in a circuit

using an LN kit. Theoretical calculations were compared with experimental results to evaluate the

accuracy of nodal analysis in solving electrical circuits.

Circuit Diagram:
Results:

Resistors: Value

R1 1 kOhm

R2 10 kOhm

R3 10 kOhm

R4 10 kOhm

R5 22 kOhm

Parameter Measured Value

V1 (Measured) -570 V / 227

V2 (Measured) 11.15 V / 227

I (Measured for R1) 1.82 mA

I (Measured for R2) 1.32 mA

I (Measured for R3) 814.73 mA

I (Measured for R4) 503.18 mA

I (Measured for R5) 1.82 mA

Solving Circuit using Nodal Analysis:

Node 1:

15 - V1 V1 - 0 V1 - V2

------- + ------- = ------- x 10

10 1 10

Simplifying:

15 - V1 + 10V1 = V1 - V2

15 = -8V1 - V2 -> (1)

Node 2:

V1 - V2 15 - V2 V2 - 0

------- + ------- = -------

10 10 22

Simplifying:

V1 - V2 + 15 - V2 = 5 / 11 V2

15 = -V1 + 27 / 11 V2 -> (2)

Calculated Values:

V1 = -570 / 227 V

V2 = 1155 / 227 V

Conclusion:
The experiment compared the measured voltages and currents in the circuit with the calculated

values from nodal analysis.

The results showed that the measured values closely matched the theoretical ones, with only minor
differences. These differences could be due to factors like component tolerances, measurement

inaccuracies, or environmental effects. Overall, the experiment confirmed that nodal analysis is a

reliable method for analyzing electrical circuits.
