S !

HELLO! Good to connect with you!

When I was working a 9-5 within the education

sector at a foreign diplomatic mission & a Big 4
firm, I wondered if it’s possible to work from home
continuously, or from anywhere I desired.

After extensive research, I found out that it was

indeed possible to work 100% remotely, but these
opportunities are more common in some roles and
fields than others. I’ve shared some top remote work
sites below so you can find the right opportunities
for you.

If you’re seeking a career transition into a field with

more remote work opportunities - Customer Service,
Sales, IT, Marketing, IT, HR - feel free to reach me
via the link below!

If you’re just looking to advance in your career, or

change fields but work locally, I can assist you with
that too.

However, if you’re already in a field with remote

opportunities, read on below and integrate it into
your CV. All the best!

Sincerely,
Sharifah Hani Yasmin

REMOTE WORK CHEAT SHEET

REMOTE WORK TOOLS/PLATFORMS

Familiarise yourself with digital tools and remote collaboration tools

and include them on your CV.

Video Conferencing: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet

Project Management: Trello, Asana, Jira
Communication: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord
Collaboration: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365

REMOTE WORK EXPERIENCE

Recruiters seek employees who already have remote work experience. If

you have any hybrid/remote/work from home experiences, highlight this
within your CV.

I've found that the best sites to source remote work are LinkedIn,
Jobstreet, Kerja-Remote.com, FlexJobs, RemoteHub, and Remote.co.

REMOTE WORK KEYWORDS

Use keywords such as remote work, flexible arrangements, freelance, and

work from home in your job search. Avoid solely relying on the 'remote'
filter on job sites as this may exclude some potential opportunities.

LINKEDIN PROFILE

Strengthen your online presence - ensure your LinkedIn profile is

comprehensive. Share posts regarding specific projects, achievements, and
endorsements related to virtual collaboration so that any remote recruiter
can see that you are well-suited to a remote role. Most importantly -
ensure your 'Open to Work' setting is on and ‘refresh’ it regularly!
