PURPOSE:

To establish a procedure for tapping operations

SCOPE:

This work instruction is applicable for all tapping components

RESPONSIBILITY:

Production & Quality

DESCRIPTION:

1. Operator should be aware of wearing gloves and shoes before operating the machine.
2. Check whether tapping machines are in working correct direction.
3. Speed should be maintained as per the hole and thickness of the material.
4. Check the tap dimension as per the drawing
5. Clean the surface before the material is placed.
6. Hold the component tightly which has to be tapped.
7. Switch on the Machine and tap the material as per the drawing.
8. Quality & Production department should verify tapping material.
9. Accepted part should be used for further activity
10.Components should be checked hourly once and maintained patrol inspection by
Quality supervisor.
