It involves the articulation of sounds, language
structure, voice modulation, and nonverbal cues like tone,
pace and intonation.

Speech can serve various purposes like conveying


information, expressing emotions, persuading others , or
engaging in social interactions.

Simply put, this is about helping audience members acquire information that they do not already
possess. by providing factual information about a topic.
Example : Classroom presentations or seminars and news report
2. Persuasive Speech
When we speak to persuade, we attempt to get listeners to embrace a point of view or to adopt
a behavior that they would not have done otherwise.
Example: Political speeches and sales pitches
3. Entertainment Speech
The fundamental goal of an entertaining speech is audience enjoyment, which is often done by
incorporating humor or storytelling.
Examole: Stand-up comedy and wedding toasts

3. Manuscript Speaking
is the word-for-word iteration of a written message.
4. Memorized Speaking
is the rote recitation of a written message that the speaker has
committed to memory.
