Question 1

(a) Watching a YouTube as part of a lesson can prove to be effective when

integrating environmental learning in the sense that videos capture the
attention of learners immediately and make difficult ideas easier to grasp.
Additionally, YouTube has a wide collection of videos on water pollution that
can cater to a wide audience, and it provides real life examples as well.
Mind Maps are also considered an effective tool that can be useful in
integrating environmental learning because it assists learners in making visual
interpretations of complex information that makes it easier to understand.
Additionally, mind maps encourage collaboration and allows learners to work
together with the teacher.
(b) Having learners answer questions on a YouTube video after watching it as
part of the lesson is useful because it promotes active learning by having
them actively engaged in the material. Answering questions also allow
learners to clarify confusion and improve their comprehension and
concentration.
Having learners design their own mind maps after the teacher’s example can
help learners solidify their understanding on key concepts relating to water
pollution. Additionally, as learners build their own mind maps, they go further
than memorization and actively connect ideas and at the same time, improve
their critical thinking skills.

Question 3
Reflection

1. Acknowledging the invaluable wisdom that indigenous cultures hold regarding

sustainable living practices and environmental stewardship led to the decision
to focus on indigenous knowledge about embracing indigenous knowledge
and protecting the Earth. For many centuries, indigenous peoples have had
complex relationships with the ecosystems around them, which has led to a
deep awareness of ecological resilience and balance. Our goal in showcasing
indigenous knowledge in this setting is to draw attention to how crucial it is to
respect traditional understanding when dealing with today's environmental
issues. Furthermore, indigenous knowledge provides holistic viewpoints that
incorporate environmental conservation efforts with social, cultural, and
spiritual aspects, in line with more general objectives of promoting harmony
and connectivity between humans and the natural world.
2. Yes, because I believe that this knowledge will help learners bring change in
the communities and become responsible citizens. They will be to share their
knowledge outside the classroom and educators’ others.
3. 3. We should protect our environment and know that water is very important in
our lives, so we should appreciate water in order to make our lives better.
