APPLICATION PROCEDURE
• All fields on this Admissions Form must be typed in before printing and then signed. (NO hand written forms)
• The admission form together with supporting Certified Documents must be brought into school to be checked
• Completed forms will be accepted at school. You will be notified of acceptance within a month after you have brought
in your forms
• Your application will be considered incomplete, should you have any outstanding documents
• Banking details will only be made available once the admissions form has been approved and payment
will be required within 14 days of approval
• Incomplete forms & Incomplete Payment/ No Payment = Non-Placement of learner
• Space is limited to the first 200 applicants
SCHOOL FEES
• Ridge Park College has been declared a Fee-Paying School and therefore there is an obligation on the
parent/guardian to meet the school fee that is set for the year.
• The school fee payable in 2024 is R26334. The projected school fee for 2025 is at an estimated 10% increase
(R2 633.40). Total projected fees of R28967.40 that will be subject to confirmation at the 2025 Annual Budget Meeting
scheduled for October this year.
• The parent/guardian of a learner once accepted for 2025 will be required to make a payment of R18 000 before any
confirmation of registration is done.
• An initial payment of R 18 000 is required for confirmation of registration

UNDERTAKING BY PARENTS / GUARDIAN / SPONSOR

1. We hereby apply to have the child whose name appears on this form as a learner at RIDGE PARK COLLEGE and confirm that
she complies with the basic criteria.
2. We declare that we the Parents of the learner as contemplated in Section 1 of the South African Schools Act.
3. I/We undertake to adhere to the terms and conditions of the agreement.
4. I/We undertake to adhere to the school rules and disciplinary code and to the various alterations in the rules and disciplinary
code that may be made from time to time.
5. I/We understand and confirm that the Principal, or any person duly authorized, will act in loco parentis in any matter and at
any time during which I/We have entrusted our child to the care of the school.
6. I/We understand that while every reasonable effort will be made to prevent losses or damage to learner’s clothing and
equipment, the school cannot be held liable for such.
7. I/We undertake to reimburse the school for any damage to school property that may be caused by our child.
8. I/We, jointly and severally, undertake to pay school fees and we/I understand the following:
• That Ridge Park College has been declared a fee-paying school.
• Public school fees are a statutory obligation in terms of the South African Schools Act No. 84 of 1996 (as amended). These
school fees are payable annually in advance at the beginning of each school year and as such payment is compulsory unless
I/We have been granted exemption or partial exemption. However, purely in order to reduce the financial burden on parents,
the school may extend the terms of payments completely at its discretion. Should the school grant such and indulgence, I
accept that this undertaking in no way changes the fact that the payment of school fees is a statutory duty and not a voluntary
agreement, particularly not a credit agreement as defined in terms of The National Credit Act No. 34 of 2005.
• An initial payment of R 18 000 (Eighteen thousand Rand) is required for confirmation of registration
❖ R15 000 to be credited to school fees for 2024 and
❖ Balance to be paid
• If the school allows me/us any form of extended payment and I/We default and fail to pay any single installment by the due
date, then the whole amount that is outstanding will become immediately due and payable.
• Understand that in terms of the Schools Act parents are jointly and severally liable for school fees and any divorce order that
maybe binding between parents does not affect the parents’ liability to the school.
• In terms of Section 39 of the South African Schools Act, the parties to this form are compelled to pay compulsory School Fees.
• In terms of Section 40 of the South African Schools Act, the school may enforce the payment of these compulsory fees.
• Parents who are unable to pay school fees may apply for an exemption of these fees.
• The school may hold and process by computer or otherwise any information obtained about the parents as a result of their
liability for the fees.
• School may conduct any enquiry and/or information search about the parents with a credit information bureau, persons acting
as their agents and/or credit grantors.
• If Parent/s fail to meet their school fee obligations the school may record the Parent/s non-payment with a credit information
bureau. Any information conveyed to a credit information bureau will be available to other credit grantors and used in making
credit risk management related decisions.
9. I/We undertake to give notice in writing of any intention to remove my/our daughter for the school and furthermore to return
any books and/or equipment belonging to the school which our daughter may have. Should you withdraw your daughter after

 having paid the registration fee, you will receive a refund of R 16 000 only. Should you withdraw your learner during the course
of the academic year, you will be responsible for school fee payment up to and including the term
10. I/We agree that our daughter be permitted to undertake group Edumetric and Psychometric tests which have been approved
by the Director of Education
11. I/We agree that if our child is over the compulsory school-going age (15 years) she will attend school regularly and will only
be absent for medical reasons.
12. We/I understand that the school reserves the right to verify all information supplied to them via this application. In the event
of fraudulent documents submitted, the school reserves the right to lay a criminal charge of fraud against any of the parties to
this application and the application will be declared null and void.
13. We/I Accept responsibility for immunizing our daughter against contagious diseases and normal infections, and will produce
proof of Immunisation Record Card (Clinic Card) on return of the application form.
14. We undertake to submit the Final Grade 7 report and SASAMS Transfer Card to show proof that my daughter has passed.
Failing to submit the following critical documents on Day 1 of the 2025 School Year will result in your daughter’s admission
being declared Null & Void.
15. We/I Accept the responsibility of our daughter’s transport to and from school.
16. We/I undertake to inform the Principal of my/our daughter’s absence from school and should produce a doctor’s certificate if
and when required.
17. We/I undertake to support the school’s constitution policy of admission, as defined and implemented by the School Governing
Body.
18. We/I understand that smoking in school uniform and the abuse of any drugs or alcoholic beverage is an infringement of the
critical school rules and will not under any circumstances be tolerated.
19. The commitment in its entirety will be valid from the day on which it is signed by the parent/guardian to the day on which the
pupil officially leaves the school.
20. The School Governing Body reserves the right to reconsider the admittance of Learners to the school.
21. The parent/guardian declares that he/she is the legal guardian, with an official letter of guardianship from the Department of
Welfare is entitled to sign this document, and shall be bound hereto both as parent/guardian, and in his/her capacity.
