VOTE OF THANKS -INDEPENDENCE DAY
Good morning to one and all present here
Today, our hearts swell with pride and gratitude as we reflect on the sacrifices and achievements that have brought us to this day. Every particle in the atmosphere is charged with affection for the motherland on this special day. Almost every vehicle would have a tricolour flying on top of it. Patriotic songs can be heard at every corner of the street. We celebrate this day in order to pay homage to the countless Indian citizens, who dedicated their lives in the service of the country and sacrificed everything to win back its freedom. This is also an occasion to glorify the great Indian culture and tradition which has impressed the whole world. On this day We can either complain because rose bushes have thorns or, rejoice because thorns have roses. I am extremely grateful to our dear Principal Indira ma’am for sowing the seeds of creativity and motivating us. Thank you ma’am. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to our headmistress Miss Shamshunisa Ma’am for her constant support and guidance I extend my warm gratitude to our coordinators Shanthi ma’am, Shruthi Raj ma’am and Melufa ma’am for their valuable support and encouragement. I thank our dear teachers for inspiring us to work with passion, patience and perseverance. A Heartfelt thanks also goes to the Social Studies, English, Music, Art, Dance and PE departments for their hard work and support. A Hearty thanks also goes to all our friends for their participation and dedication who have made this occasion a success. I hope my gratitude reaches our non-teaching staff, support staff and everyone who have worked behind the frame to help us put up this event. This day is a plethora of emotions, it reminds us of the pain of being enslaved; of the strength in unity; it defines sacrifice, it gives us an example that some wars can be won with non-violence and of all the things, it makes us value and cherish the freedom we have today. As we draw curtains to this ceremony, I quote Bhagat Singh- “Revolution is an inalienable right of mankind. Freedom is an imperishable birth right of all” I unquote. Our nation is a fabric of national pride, with each thread representing our collective spirit “May your spirits be uplifted by the flag’s emblem of our country’s pride.” Wishing you all a very happy independence day JAI HIND!!
