Midpoint formula
The midpoint of segment AB, where A(x1,y1) and B(x2, y2), can be found using the
formula: ((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2).
Midsegment Conjecture
The midsegment of a triangle is parallel to, and half the length of, the side of the
triangle it does not intersect.
If a point is on an angle bisector, then it is the same distance (equidistant) from both
sides of the angle.
The longest side of a triangle is opposite the largest angle of the triangle, and the
shortest side is opposite the smallest angle.
The measures of each exterior angle of a regular polgyon with n sides is 360°/n.
The slopes of perpendicular lines are negative (or opposite) reciprocals. Their
product is negative 1.
The sum of the measures of the exterior angle of a polygon with n sides is 360°.
The sum of the measures of the interior angle of a polygon with n sides is (n – 2) •
180°.
Two segments tangent to a circle from a point outside the circle are congruent.
If a line is tangent to a circle, then it is perpendicular to the radius drawn to the point
of tangency.
In the same or congruent circles, congruent central angles intercept congruent arcs.
Two congruent chords in the same or congruent circles are equidistance from the
center of the circle. The perpendicular line from the center of a circle a chord is the
perpendicular bisector of the chord.
