Abstract
Traditional or antiquated farming practices are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the
population growth, which is a direct result of the human race's exponential expansion. To meet the food
needs of this expanding population, sophisticated farming techniques are therefore desperately needed. To
improve food production for people, smart farming technologies based on embedded systems and the
Internet of Things (IoT) have gained popularity in recent years. For agri-farm fields, our project has
recommended farming solutions based on wireless sensor networks, embedded technologies, and the
Internet of Things. The electronic circuitry of the devices, network protocols that are used, and intelligent
remote monitoring systems for PCs and smartphones are all described in our project. It then goes on to
provide some suggestions before summarizing the potential applications of key technologies for smart
farming.
