JUSPAY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
Round 1 (Coding round):
● Nearly 1000+ students registered for this company because there was no eligibility criteria and every departments can attend ● First round was coding round ● Two questions from graphs concepts ● Those questions were related to each other ● Questions were only from directed graphs in our case ● Each question had 10 test cases ● I highly recommend the people to practice the previous year questions to crack the first round
Last minute preparation should include:
1. DFS, BFS of graph 2. Cycle detection 3. Topological sort 4. Djistra and Bellman-Ford algorithms 5. Cycle of maximum weight of the graph
Round 2 (TPA, Learnathon):
● After successful completion of the first round you will be selected for SDE (Software Development Engineer) or TPA(Technical Product Analyst) role based on the performance of the first round. I was about to go for the SDE round but at the last moment changed the code and reduced the passed test cases from 6 to 3. Since I cleared the first round with a good score, I got an opportunity for the TPA role. ● Around 40 students got selected for the TPA role. ● This round is a Learnathon round, in which you will be provided with some materials for purescript which is a functional programming language. I was given nearly a week of time to prepare, out of 14 chapters I need to study only 6 chapters. You will be given the complete installation procedures and study materials in the mail clearly so no problem in that. ● After the period of preparation this Learnathon is a one whole day process, It will start from 11 and it depends on the buddy you get. Each candidate will be assigned by a buddy who will assist and be with you for the entire day. ● My learnathon started at 11 am and ended at 11 pm at night. Inbetween you can have lunch, break so and so, the thing is you need to complete the task and submit. So time is not a factor in this round. ● The task will be cube-rotation in which you need to add some function into the existing code like 1. increase and decrease the velocity of the cube in all the 3 directions, 2. reversing the cube in all directions, 3. add and remove the cube ● Don’t hesitate to ask doubts ● Be more interactive with the buddy, because it plays a major role in Learnathon round ● Initially after the setup is done questions were based on ELM architecture, and will be related to the cube rotation problem only. ● Then I was asked to start my logic and coding for that. Buddy will ask you to present the screen and show and ask you to explain the code as well when you are done with the coding ● You’ll face a lot of errors but still not lose your hope, you will be given enough time if you are not giving up and putting your best efforts till the end. Patience, confidence and the effort you put till the end plays a major role in this round ● All the materials will be shared in mail so no problem on it
Round 3 (Technical and HR interview):
● This is a final round in which 10 students were shortlisted for this round ● You will be asked questions from the previous round and the study materials they provide you, and from the resume ● Must study - some questions like self-introduction, favorite subject, your inspiration, your hobbies, why did you chosen the current field of education?, why juspay?, your college projects, be thorough in all the points you have mentioned in your resume, questions on your internships if any, questions around data structures and algorithms, trees, graphs, and some basic questions as well, puzzles and so on, questions around coding and logic as well. ● Questions asked to me was: 1. Self - introduction 2. Questions about my projects 3. Questions about my internship ie., I was a web developer in that intern 4. Questions from areas of interest ie., from web development, networking and OS(from resume) 5. Questions from stack, queues, and time complexities 6. Why Juspay? 7. Logic and code for Sudoku game (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/sudoku-backtracking-7/) 8. Code for shopping card application - were asked to explain about the entire application working in frontend, backend and the integration part as well. 9. 2 questions were from puzzle ie ● 2 vessels of 3L and 5L each will be given find 4L without measurements (Level: Easy)(https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/puzzle-measure-4l-using-give n-3-buckets/) ● Magical pond (Level : Hard) (https://practice.geeksforgeeks.org/problems/the-magical-pond-puz zle) 10. Any questions for me? ● Note : I referred the puzzles from these websites which was good (https://www.youtube.com/c/LOGICALLYYOURS/videos), (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjDHKp8AGNucJmEBMCk0NGg) ● The thing is not get panic if you don’t know the answers, answer all the known questions confidentially, don’t lose hope, don’t give up at any point of time, the questions vary based on interviewers, and still prepare well to the best of your knowledge apart from these questions, focus on the communication skills and prepare well. All the very best candidates!
